HOME
Dear Fort Gatlin District,

As always, there's lots going on in Fort Gatlin.

We completed our Cub Scout Day Camp at the LDS Church off Bumby.  The 2008 Cub Scout Day Camp was awesome.  Cub Scouts who attended had a great time and will return to their Cub Scout Packs with lots of energy for Cub Scouting.  Laurie Bobletz, Cathy Stephens, and Tara Ghirghi along with the entire Cub Scout Day Camp staff did an amazing job and put forth many many hours in preparation for Day Camp.  If you see a Cub Scout Day Camp staff member please express your sincere gratitude for all of their efforts.

Weather belt loop #1    (2 & 3 were to be completed at home)

Weather pin #’s 1,3,4,6 & 8  (The boys must complete the belt loop before receiving their pin)

bulletAll of the equipment and information was available for the boys to earn their volleyball belt loop & soccer belt loop. HOWEVER, some dens did not participate due to weather substitutions or lack of interest.  Please review these requirements with your son and find out if his den did indeed earn either of these belt loops.  On both of those belt loops they had to explain the rules of the game, practice for 30 minutes and participate in a gam

The 2008 School Night season is upon us.  We are in the process of signing up hundreds of new families into the Fort Gatlin Scouting family.  To view the school night sign up dates scheduled please click the "2008 School Nights" link at the top left of this page.

Our August Program Launch was a large success.  Tropical Storm Fay tried to weather us out but Fort Gatlin, as usual, always overcomes any challenge.

Please look at the Fort Gatlin training page on this website for all of the awesome training events we are offering.  Also, please look at the District events page for opportunities to take your Scouts to.

Yours in Scouting,

Chris Crowley
